NIS at the panel discussion on EU’s energy policy

Representatives of the Energy Community, International Energy Agency, Serbian Government and the largest oil companies operating in Serbia and in the region discussed the importance of the Energy Union for the countries of Southeast Europe and its impact on the Serbian energy policy, regulatory policy, as well as the impact of the drop in oil prices on oil business in Serbia. Jan Bartos from the International Energy Agency, Marat Terterov from the European Geopolitical Forum and OMV head of logistics for eastern market Michael Satler participated in the discussion as panelists, while the conference was moderated by Dirk Buschle, Deputy Director of the Energy Community Secretariat. Participants at the conference were presented the experience of NIS. Nikola Radovanovic from the Office for Cooperation with EU Institutions emphasized the role of NIS in the monitoring and implementation of the European legislation in the field of energy, which the company applies in its business operations. Intending to actualize the issues which are currently of crucial importance to the EU, and also being a company which seeks to take a leading position in the oil and gas business in the region, NIS supported the organization of this important event. NIS is one of the first Serbian companies which opened its representative office in Brussels thus showing its determination to follow the latest trends and regulations of the European Union in the field of energy and environmental protection.
