The school building is currently undergoing refurbishment, and the NIS IT classroom is the first renovated space in this high school, which was completely renovated, equipped with 19 sets of computers and new furniture. The criteria for selection of schools where "Energy of Knowledge" classrooms will be outfitted, is the success of students at NIS Olympiads. At last year's Olympics in Russian language, 11 students competed, while this year the competition involved nine contestants from the Obrenovac High School, who achieved significant success and thus ensured this donation for their school. The High School in Obrenovac is one of the oldest educational institutions in Serbia. In our days it has become an elite high school, with four majors (general, natural sciences and mathematics, socio-linguistic and IT) and thus it provides its students with a quality preparation for further education. The classroom opening ceremony was attended by the manager of NIS for cooperation with universities Snežana Lakićević, the school management, numerous professors and students. In the past two years, NIS has adapted 25 computer classrooms and 4 laboratories in schools and colleges throughout Serbia. In addition to the adaptation of classrooms, NIS used the "Energy of Knowledge" programme to provide scholarships to students, organizing Olympiads, summer schools and camps and supports the Petnica Science Center.
