MEP visits Pančevo Refinery

June 16, 2015

During his visit to the refining facility, Bogovicz had an opportunity to see the operation of the state-of-the-art oil and gas refining facility outputting gasoline and Diesel fuel conforming to Euro 5 standard. He also visited the mild hydrocracking and distillate hydrotreating unit, an investments that propelled NIS into the leading position at the region’s oil products market, bringing about energy stability to Serbia. The tour of the Pančevo Refinery was organised as part of Franz Bogovicz’s participation in “Manager Meeting in June” a traditional event conducted by Serbia’s Managers Association, where NIS has a long time partnership and membership. This has been the first to NIS visit by MEP. NIS is Serbia’s first company to have established its representation in Brussels. It was set up in 2011, thus lending support to Serbia’s European integration. NIS Representation Office staff in Brussels keeps abreast of the European Union legislature and facilitate European debate pertaining to power generation.
