The NIS Company and the "Partizan" Basketball Club today signed a sponsorship agreement that will continue the successful long-term cooperation between the two.
24 December 2019The document was signed by Kirill Tyurdenev, the CEO of NIS and Ostoja Mijailović, the President of the “Partizan” Basketball Club at the NIS Headquarters in Belgrade. During the signing of the contract, both men emphasized that the continuation of cooperation will provide an impetus that will lead the “Partizan” basketball players to new victories and titles in local and European competitions.
NIS and “Partizan” Basketball Club nurture a long-standing partnership that was crowned in 2013 with the company’s general sponsorship. The “Partizan” Basketball Club is one of the most successful and popular sports entities both in Serbia and in the region. “Partizan” basketball players have won 21 national championsships, 15 national cups, six Adriatic (regional) league titles, three Radivoj Korać international cups as well as the European champions title in 1992.
Kirill Tyurdenev, the CEO of NIS, voiced his pride of the cooperation with the “Partizan” Basketball Club, one of the most successful and popular clubs, not only in Serbia but also beyond its borders.
“Year’s end is a good time to extend our cooperation with the “Partizan” Basketball Club. We have seen that over the years the club has shown remarkable results. We are proud of our cooperation and I am convinced that next year the results will be even better, as well as that the “Partizan” will finish the season in great shape, “said Tyurdenev and wished all those present a happy New Year and Christmas holidays.
Ostoja Mijailović, president of the “Partizan” Basketball Club, handed over gifts to the CEO of NIS – the No. 1 jersey and a basketball ball that was played in Eurocup games featuring black and white basketball players. He expressed confidence that next year it will be the ball to play in the matches of the elite European basketball competition – Euroleague.
“This is a significant day for “Partizan”, as NIS is a long-time general sponsor of our club. I want to thank Mr. Tyurdenev and NIS for being with “Partizan” also at a time when “Partizan” had no results and was going through a difficult period. We will do our best to justify this agreement and I am sure we will be pleased with the cooperation, “said Mijailović.
After signing the agreement, “Partizan” basketball players joined the event of the NIS Volunteers Club and participated in the preparation of New Year gifts for children without parental care in homes in Subotica, Kruševac, Negotin, Pančevo and Niš. This is the fifth consecutive year that NIS volunteers prepare gifts for children in the run-up to the New Year’s and Christmas holidays. This year, NIS volunteers gave each child the opportunity to express their wishes through drawing, poetry and acting, and thus receive a personalized gift.
