NIS endorsed launching of a digital classroom for Russian language in Brekovo Primary School

A digital classroom for Russian language was ceremonially launched in Brekovo Primary School located in Brekovo, the village near Arilje. The adaptation and equipping were supported by NIS within its corporate program “Energy of Knowledge”, which includes cooperation with educational and scientific institutions in Serbia and abroad.

The ceremonial launch was attended by the representatives of the local self-government, the management of Brekovo Primary School, NIS, the school administration, Parents Council, as well as current and former pupils.

The classroom was entirely adapted and renovated, fully equipped with multimedia devices and Internet access. As a result, the classroom can be used by all pupils and it is adequate for teaching foreign languages as well as other classes, which require the use of multimedia devices.

Due to the support provided by NIS, which has been using the programme “Energy of Knowledge” for seven years to support popularisation of science and improvement of teaching conditions in educational institutions in Serbia, Russian language classes, as well as the other classes, in Brekovo Primary School have been improved and facilitated.

As a result, we will be able to open new IT departments and develop new educational profiles. This way, our pupils will be able to receive education in Arilje. We consider this donation a great honour”, said Terzic.

Goran Icelic, principal of Brekovo Primary School, expressed his gratitude to NIS for their donation and noted that the school management makes efforts to improve education as much as possible, which is significantly enabled due to successful cooperation with local government and townsmen.

The teachers and pupils of this school prepared different artistic performances for the opening ceremony of the digital classroom for Russian language, and principal Icelic handed out certificates of appreciation to the guests.
