NIS Sponsors Schooling for Twenty Young People in Russia

In the NIS Novi Sad building, twenty young scholars signed yesterday contracts on their education in the Russian Federation. This year NIS is going to pay scholarships to twenty talented and successful high-school graduates from all over Serbia, who will continue their education at the oil and gas engineering universities Gubkin, in Moscow and Gorny, in St. Petersburg.

NIS scholarships for study abroad include the cost of schooling for all years of study, accommodation, transportation, medical insurance, and a monthly cash allowance. Students, on the other hand, will have an obligation to study dilligently, take exams on time and achieve a good GPA. After graduation, they will have secured jobs in NIS.

The Schooling Sponsorsip Program in Russia for the high school graduates, began last year, when five talented students had a chance to study at universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The great success achieved by the students, motivated the company this year to increase the number of scholarships.

With this move, the company gives a hand to talented and worthy children, with an opportunity to acquire top quality education. NIS on the other hand, will get a professional staff,” said Snezana Lakicevic, Manager for Collaboration with Universities, NIS.

Scholarships for high school students is under the umbrella of the NIS Power of Knowledge Program, whereby the company cooperates with universities and high schools.
