Valery Gergiev presented awards to the winners of the fifth festival of Russian music “Bolshoy”

At Mećavnik was ended festival of classical music “Bolshoi”, which has been held for the fifth consecutive time with the support of Gazprom Neft. During two days, 62 young talents from Serbia, the Republic of Srpska and Russia were socializing, learning from famous masters and, of course, fought for the awards of the festival. During each festival evening, spectators could enjoy the performances of well-known musicians – violinists Roman Simović and Tatyana Samuil, mezzo-soprano Milijana Nikolić, cellist Justus Grimm. They played with the “The Bolshoi” Symphony Orchestra conducted by Srboljub Dinić. The Golden Prize was handed by the artistic director of the Mariinsky Theatre, conductor Valeriy Gergiev Among the participants of the competition program in the group of 18-25 years, the best was the Serbian accordion quintet from East Sarajevo – Accordeus. The Golden Prize was handed them by the artistic director of the Mariinsky Theatre, conductor Valeriy Gergiev; Silver matrioshka received the flautist Ana Malkov (Novi Sad), and the bronze matrioshka was given to the pianist Ivana Damjanov (Novi Sad). In the age group of 13-17, the golden matrioshka was won by pianist Svetlana Zvereva from St. Petersburg, pianist Jana Jakovljevic from Belgrade won silver matrioshka, and soprano Violeta Sabayeva from Omsk won the bronze matrioshka. The winners of the Golden Prize As part of the new program “Dialogue of Talents“, for the guests of the festival performed young musicians – Alena Rostovska (soprano), Aleksa Mirković (accordion, Serbia), Mina Radivojević (soprano, Serbia), Elizaveta Antonova (vocals, Russia), Aleksandra Latinović (violin, Serbia) and Vladislav Handogiy (piano, Belarus). The surprise for guests and participants of the festival was the open master-class of Valery Gergiev held for the “Bolshoi” Orchestra.
