In this way, the candidates will have the opportunity to start working immediately upon completion of their education and thus gain the first professional experience at one of the biggest energy companies in the region. As part of this programme, the Company will employ about 150 young experts by the end of the year. “Giving young people a chance symbolizes a new beginning, the start of a new stage in life, and a step towards the future. It is an honour and a pleasure for us to be a part of this. As a socially responsible company, NIS invests in young people in numerous ways through the “Energy of Knowledge” and “NIS Chance” projects, because we believe that by investing in education we invest in our company and this country in the best possible manner. The youth employment programme was started in 2010 through the state programme titled “First Chance”, which transformed in 2012 into “NIS Chance", our company’s programme which is much larger in scale and created in line with our business needs. These programmes employ over 670 university and secondary school graduates, who have been given the opportunity to take the first career steps at one of the most successful companies in the region. The “NIS Chance” programme is implemented through the agreed collaboration with local self-governments and the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. In the process of winning candidates over, support is provided by universities, secondary schools, and national employment services.
